The Kosmospalast was the ultimate achievement of an ideal social order which an unspecified human disaster blasted far out into space. Turned into a terminally degraded New Babylon drifting across an infinite cosmos it embodies the demise of a Modernist project of revolutionary city driven by the innermost desires of its dwellers. A cluster of radical queer politics and urban poetics Kosmospalast is a site of resistance to insidious forms of spatial/sexual normalisation.
